The history:
Bonomi S.p.A. has been roasting coffee for over a century. As a matter of fact, Federico Bonomi, the founder, started a small grocery shop in the centre of Milan in 1886. Love and passion for roasting paved the way to a difficult but steady growth, that involved several generations year after year and that has now brought the Bonomi blend to be available in almost all the north of Italy, and outside national borders too.
In 1982, during the Company's upgrading process, Gianluca Bonomi drastically changed the company's production structure: the Headquarters and the roasting and packaging lines were moved from the old factory in the centre of Milan to Binasco, in the outskirts of the city, to a new, modern and 100% computerized roasting plant.
In 1997, Bonomi joined two other coffee roasters that had similar old traditions and histories, and they created a new company, "Bomocaf".
Now Bomocaf produces coffee blends for three different partners; each of them is characterized by its own blends, its own philosophy and its own commercial autonomy, but they share the same strong commitment on quality and tradition.
All the coffees for our blends are selections from the best plantations worldwide and quality is guaranteed by the presence of our mother-company in the producing countries. Thanks to its position among top dealers in the green coffee scenario, to its branches in the major coffee exporting countries and to its synergies in several others, as well as to the most sophisticated export techniques and logistics, Bonomi is able to work on the best variety of coffee beans due to severe Quality Controlss all the way from the bean to the end product.
Therefore Bonomi is now proud to offer a wide range of blends, each one carefully selected and processed under total Quality Controls, from the plantation to the cup.
The Bonomi quality system boasts ISO 9001 certification and it is the instrument that guarantees the commitment on quality, which we have decided to undertake daily.
This indeed urges Bonomi to continuous improvements in order to meet our tradition and our philosophy, as our love for coffee beans has always brought us to do.
