The Quality Controls:
All the coffee types used in our blends are tested to meet our minimum standards both prior to shipping from the producing Countries, and upon reaching the Italian port.
Laboratory tests are performed on several stages, and specifically:
On green coffee: each lot is inspected for aspect, moisture level, colour, bean size, intrinsic defects and they are cup-tasted in the end
All those major tests are performed before granting green coffee beans the authorization to be shipped not only from the producing countries, but also before transportation from our ports to the factory. When the lot is finally approved as meeting our standards, transport to Bomocaf is then authorized for consequent roasting and blending.
On roasted coffee:tests control the roasting degree, analyse aromas and check the coffee blends with proper cupping. Accurate controls after espresso extraction are made on foam consistency, aromas and flavour persistency, as well as on eventual undesired aftertastes. After packaging, product conservation is regularly tested in order to guarantee to the consumer the same cup quality outcome you had when the beans were roasted.
